Vegan or not, many of us enjoy pizza and in this crazy COVID-19 era, the frozen pizza is more relevant than ever. We review four 100% vegan choices on the market today. Fire up those brick ovens. Clean off those pizza stones. It is time for vegans to enjoy a great pizza.
1. Sweet Earth Veggie Lover’s Pizza
This delicious pizza has the best crispy crust you could ever ask for, which is made with a nutritious blend of cornmeal, carrots and chia seeds. The Veggie Lover’s pizza is a great source of fiber topped with a satisfying and flavorful combination of vegetables – broccoli, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, onion and garlic. The sauce is even better, a zesty marinara sauce full of sweet and herby flavors! Not only is the Sweet Earth pizza mouth-watering, it also has 6 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. A healthy and tasty pizza, what more could you ask for?
Quick word of warning: Other varieties of Sweet Earth pizzas use dairy cheese. That is to say, only the Veggie Lover’s variety uses non-dairy cheese.
2. Amy’s Pizza Vegan Margherita with Daiya Cheese
This vegan pizza can beat a regular non-vegan frozen pizza. It is simple, yet it still has the most divine cheese pull and an unbeatable thin hand-stretched crust. The sauce is full of blended sun-ripened tomatoes and the classic Italian herbs. Finally, it is topped with Daiya cheese, which tastes and stretches just like a regular mozzarella, except it is dairy free, cholesterol free and lactose free. Sometimes it can be difficult to find a basic cheese pizza when on a plant-based diet, but Amy’s pizza is great for a simple lunch or dinner. When served, I guarantee you will be coming back for more servings.
3. Daiya Dairy-Free Cheese Lover’s Frozen Pizza
This vegan frozen pizza has a unique twist, it is gluten-free! Daiya pizza is perfect for those who are allergic to gluten, vegan or both. The gluten-free crust surprisingly replicates an exact version of a normal pizza crust because, when baked in the oven, it comes out with a crispy texture on the outside and a chewy middle. Instead of regular all purpose flour, this pizza crust is assembled with a mix of potato starch, chickpea flour and rice flour. They even have different pizza flavors for you to mix and match. There is a gluten-free pizza with just cheese, a version with vegan pepperoni, and a veggie pizza— which all are gluten-free. Daiya is a fully vegan company, so it is definitely a must try because they ace all their frozen dishes.
4. Bold Organics Pizza
Bold pizza is the best option if you are serving someone who is not vegan. This pie is absolutely fantastic for anyone craving pizza, and the plus is that it is so diverse to a variety of people. The pizza is vegan, 100% Certified gluten-free by the Celiac Sprue Association, made with organic certified ingredients, non GMO, dairy free, lactose free, casein free, whey free and nut tree free. And still standing strong, the pizza includes no preservatives, nitrates or trans fats. The cheese melts in your mouth, crust has the classic oven-fired taste and the sauce is fresh with the fragrant basil.
😢 Sadly, Bold Organics is discontinued…
But we wouldn’t leave you hanging…
