  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cinnamon, and baking powder. In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and vanilla. Combine wet ingredients into dry ingredients until smooth.
  2. Slice apples into 1/4 inch thick rings and core the centers with a small cookie cutter.
  3. Dip each apple ring into the batter, ensuring even coating, then fry in hot oil until golden brown about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Remove from oil, drain excess oil, and dip in melted chocolate. Let them set before serving.
