  • 2.25 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then remove from heat.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, cocoa powder, and sugar until well combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually fold in the flour until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For extra richness, add a handful of chopped nuts or swirl in some caramel before baking.
