- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
- Place the salmon fillets on the grill, skin-side down. Grill for 6 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Meanwhile, prepare the avocado salsa by mixing diced avocado, chopped red onion, chopped basil, minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Remove the salmon from the grill and let rest for a few minutes. Serve topped with the fresh avocado salsa.
