  • 0.5 cup light corn syrup
  • 0.3333 cup dark brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened natural cocoa powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces dark or bittersweet chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preparation Steps
  1. Bring cream, corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and salt to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar and chocolate are melted; simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  2. Remove from heat, add butter, vanilla, and remaining chopped chocolate; stir until smooth and glossy. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat gently before serving.
