Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce. Add a layer of noodles, followed by ricotta cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Repeat layers.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and cheese is golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
