  • 1 cup unbleached all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 egg white egg white
  • optional toppings (e.g., everything bagel seasoning, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried garlic flakes, dried onion flakes)

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375F. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat. Spray with oil if using parchment to prevent sticking.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl and whisk well.
  3. Add Greek yogurt and mix with a fork or spatula until the mixture resembles small crumbles.
  4. Lightly dust your work surface with flour, turn out the dough, and knead a few times until tacky but not sticky, about 15 turns.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal parts. Flatten each into a circle, place 1/2 tablespoon of cream cheese in the center, then fold the dough around the filling and roll into a ball.
  6. Brush the balls with egg wash and sprinkle with topping if desired.
  7. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. Allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Air Fryer Method
  1. Spray the air fryer basket to prevent sticking.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 325F. Arrange the balls in a single layer and cook for 11-12 minutes until golden.
  3. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before eating.
