  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 egg egg
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 3 shakes black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1.5 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Preparation Steps
  1. Soak the white bread slices in heavy cream for 5-10 minutes, then mash with a spoon or hands.
  2. In a large bowl, combine bread mixture with onion powder, garlic powder, ground beef, ground pork, egg, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into small meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake meatballs for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and browned.
  5. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens into a gravy.
  7. Stir in heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, and nutmeg if using. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Add the cooked meatballs to the gravy and simmer for 10 minutes to absorb flavors.
  9. Serve hot with mashed potatoes or pasta, garnished as desired.
